Auctions, future projects, moving, etc

Hiya people. I am currently in the middle of cleaning a LOT of things out and getting rid of a LOT of stuff, and sorting through pieces to put up for auction - more original art (including pieces from the last strip, the first S*P crossover, and more stuff from earlier in the strip), a variety of leftover art prints, and original linework from several of the prints, including the first QoW print of Kestrel reading in bed with Zot on her head.

On top of this, I've got some rough character sketches from the new strip, courtesy of Mr. Daily - take a peek!

Work on the website and story and everything else is still swimmingly in progress, in between getting ready to relocate (to a place where we can have a STUDIO. Well, a garage. IT WILL BE A STUDIO WHEN WE ARE DONE WITH IT! Yay!), the holidays, and packing in general.

...I am so spending more than a year in the new place. I don't know about the rest of you but I so hate moving, so very very much. >.<

Keep an eye out for those auctions if you're interested, they will be going up later tonight, and happy...whatever holiday you happen to be celebrating currently!

Que?

At the risk of sounding like a raging newb. What is the new strip going to be about? I'm going to go WAY out on a limb and say Angela is going to be involved, which is cool cause I liked her flaws as a person.

But is there a website I should be checking out aside from this one that has all this info?

Is it just me, or do these sketches seem to depict Angela as somewhat taller than in QoW? She seems a lot slimmer and longer-legged.

FWIW I work with a woman who's a dead ringer for the QoW Angela, and these sketches don't really look like her.

Nope, she's still short - you can't tell by the third picture because of the angle the doodles were drawn, but she's MUCH shorter than the girl beside her. Chris has done an admirable job with working with my descriptions of how she should look, and he's familiar with QoW so he knows what she's supposed to look like, miniurature height and all.

The hair length tends to throw people off, as I'm having him continue the trend of Angela's hair growing out that's been...well it's been doing that ever since I started drawing QoW, really.

it's cool drawings and all but for Angela? right now i don't like this new look of/for Angela. Hopefully in time it will grow on me but for now...meh. :/ looks a bit too...I don't know? bubble gumish?

'Kay, I'm a little weirded out. Is that other girl supposed to be me? The face doesn't look particularly like me, but the hair and the clothes are right. WEIRD.

Anyway, really looking forward to the new comic, and the art looks awesome!

Neat

The pencils are faboo...the ink experiments, not so much. They lose too much of the liveliness of the sketches.

I agree...although I'm a bit wary of moving to a different artist (since I loved QoW!) I really like the pencils,though some of the facial expressions look a little strange in the inks.

I actually love Daily's work, and you writing, WEEEE!!!

but uhh... Daily seems to always be late (well, about a month ago for like 4 months). He can actually fit this into his schedule?
Kewl if he can, but please, at least more then once a week. Twice, gunt! once, ugh...

Looks like it'll be good, though for curiousity's sake how are you scripting out the comic for him to draw? Short story format; Scripting it out like a Game Master/Dungeon Master, or are you just scripting it straight up?

Art looks awesome! I can't tell you how many times I've read QoW to stave off boredown at work or read through the archives for a much-needed giggle.

(Re: The "frazzled" emoticon....I usually use the "rushed" option and just label it "frazzled.")

Maybe it's just me, but I just don't think Angela looks right. I just don't like his style on her. Love striptease, but...

I'm voting for the angela with the tickle me shirt and the uninked flick-off as my favs of Chris drawing Angela. Although the 2nd angela on the first page with the hip-thrust to the side and lecturing looks good to me, too.
